Spencer Stump talks of connecting with his aunt after her passing by visiting her favorite place, the Gordon Neighbourhood House.

I can’t really say I’ve been inside the Gordon Neighborhood House very often. Only once actually. My aunt died when I was in my early twenties and her and I didn’t really have a relationship I wished we had. My aunt was kind of a person who kept to herself. And the few times I did see her, she was just that fun aunt. The, you know, the one that you always looked forward to seeing, and she lived somewhere around here by the Neighborhood House. Unfortunately she died tragically and I never got a chance to say goodbye. But I often come here because this was where they had her service. She often came here and she would read books outside with her son and they would come here and do everything together, just in this little Neighborhood House. And so often I’ll just walk down here, just to kind of have some memories and think about what was, and what could have been. And I just liked to think that this is, I don’t know if this is where she wanted to have her service, then this place must’ve been really important to her. So often I’ll come down here and just sit and think for a while.
